There will undoubtedly be a very specialised insurers that will operate in this market but based in the UK but you might be better off selecting a local insurer (ie in France) as they will be potentially better placed to ensure that you have all aspects covered especially if there are any peculiar requirements for the property.

Bringing in the knowledge that you are planning on renting this property out from your other question, I would suggest asking the agent who you are planning on renting through about insurance, and I would have that conversation before completing the purchase.
