comparison sites can be useful to start filtering out lenders whose rates are not attractive to you but to be honest a good IFA will be able to filter down much more after having assessed your needs and the evidence that you can supply to support a loan application, they will be able to determine which lenders would entertain an application.

you might find that the lender with the lowest rate also has the most complex underwriting procedures.
