Based on http://www.ukpower.co.uk/home_energy/price_updates, it looks like gas suppliers and electricity suppliers change prices, tariffs, and deals almost daily.

British Gas has announced that it will be increasing its gas and electricity prices for 8 million households by 7% from 10 December 2010. The increase will add an extra £82 to the average annual standard dual fuel bill.
