I think the simply answer would be no I am afraid. Because you are liable for the existing mortgage, you probably will not qualify for the sharedownership mortgage.

Paul is right.
as you currently own a property and currently have a mortgage, you would fail on the eligibility for the shared ownership scheme.
they might consider you once you have exchanged contracts on the sale as the sale must proceed (or incur penalties) so there is still some hope.
