I recently relocated from the US to the UK and I'm having trouble understanding the difference between NHS health care and that provided by Private Medical Insurance, and if I should purchase PMI. Is there an easy explanation of the differences / advantages and basic recommendation? I'm a 35 year old male in good health.
PMI - compliments the NHS not replace it. You can potentially be seen quicker if you have PMI by the specialist and have a choice of private hospitals which may be more comfortable than NHS.
PMI has a range of benefits and choices - get someone to do a full assessment on your needs and then decide whether it is right for you
