Often the best place to get an unbiased opinion can be from a support group or user group of the product or device as they will tend to be more open about the pros and cons as opposed to taking the judgement of the manufacturer or any other group with a special interest.
you should also consider speaking with your GP to establish if they have any experience of what you are considering and whether it might help or hinder your circumstances.
