Going to your bank for a mortgage is like buying all your fruit and veg from a shop that only sells apples. The bank can only tell you about their own mortgages and criteria. Why would you want to restrict yourself regarding the biggest you are ever likely to have?

Much better would be to get advice from an independent mortgage broker that has access to the while of the market ( not just a panel). The broker should know the criteria for all the lenders and be able to recommend a lender that can deal with your particular circumstances.

Should you want further advice, please feel free to get in touch.
