What's the minimum cover period of life assurance?
You can get policies to cover all periods, whether they are cost effective for shorter terms is debatable and you will have to show insurable interest. I have known policies to be as short for 12 months but these policies have certain conditions and certainly don't come cheap ! | 12.08.10 @ 18:45
In the 'mainstream' market you'll get a policy with a minimum one month term. Via the Lloyds markets you can have a cover period as short as you like - hours even. But unless you're the head of a multinational corporation planning to do a one-off dangerous stunt I doubt you'd want one with that short a term!
